Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY: RGRTA has
continually invested in new technologies related to its scheduling
software, asset management, paratransit software, and operational
workforce management platform. This software is critical to the
success of daily operations. The focus of the technical
responsibilities of this position will be on developing and
maintaining these in-house applications across the organization,
utilizing current development languages and techniques. There will
be a heavy emphasis on data reporting, analysis and supporting
various departments that utilize the software. Additionally, this
role shall also ensure the use of best practices, adhere to any
regulatory compliance requirements, employ change management
control, supervise development lifecycle practices, develop
policies and safeguard the security and integrity of assigned

Technical Systems Support COMPENSATION : $68,000 to $75,000annually
(depending on experience) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide expert
advice and guidance on the improvement of reporting, data
extraction, mobile apps and technology to improve software platform
utilization. Work with end users, departments, and internal
customers to establish needs, gather requirements, create
specifications, and develop new programs, as well as design and
write code to support existing applications with third-party
software support. Develop policies and maintain program development
best practices and concepts, including development lifecycle
practices. Work to develop and maintain all necessary documentation
on all current and newly developed systems. Abide by organization
change management controls to improve system and platform
stability. Work with other IT staff and third-party vendors to
develop and deploy applications and interfaces. Assess and develop
long-term strategic goals for system improvement in the
organization. Be a team player able to work effectively with
individuals with different backgrounds and levels of expertise.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Support existing third-party
applications. Provide formal and informal customer education on
features and functions of developed systems. Demonstrate
professionalism and a high level of customer service that serves as
a role model and positive image to the team. Communicate
effectively and efficiently with appropriate individuals:
committees, management, vendors, peers, etc. Manage development
projects. Provide assistance to other IT staff as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Associate or
higher-level degree in information technology or related field with
a minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration,
software support, or desktop applications. Excellent working
knowledge of RDBMS systems including MS SQL Server and Oracle
Database Exceptional organizational and project planning skills.
Skilled in problem solving, analysis, and interpretation of
