environment. Position Summary The Arrival and Integration Case
Manager (AICM) is a member of the Community Integration Services
Team and is responsible for welcoming and providing case management
services to a limited number of newly arriving refugees, as well as
delivering ongoing integration support to post-resettlement and
other eligible JERS clients beyond the initial 90-day resettlement
period. The AICM works closely with community partners, external
stakeholders, and staff across JERS departments—including Legal,
Education, and Employment—to ensure clients access essential
services and progress toward self-sufficiency. The AICM must
exemplify Journey’s End’s core values, including intercultural
responsiveness, integrity, person-centered practice, empowerment,
and exemplary service. Primary Responsibilities Resettlement /
Pre-Arrival & Initial Resettlement (PIR) (25%) Review assigned case
files and coordinate pre-arrival preparations for incoming clients
Locate and secure housing for a limited number of new arrival cases
Coordinate with partners to ensure proper furnishing and home setup
in accordance with program guidelines Meet refugees at the airport
upon arrival Provide new arrival orientation, including education
on rights and responsibilities in the U.S. Ensure clients are
connected to eligible services, including public benefits, school
enrollment, medical care, and other required supports Conduct at
least two home visits during the 90-day resettlement period Ensure
all core resettlement requirements are met within the required
90-day timeframe and that cases are progressing toward
self-sufficiency Track and document client financial expenditures
during the PIR period Prepare case notes and reports in accordance
with federal grant and cooperative agreement requirements Attend
all PIR-related calls conducted by national office CWS Integration
& Ongoing Case Management (75%) Maintain an ongoing caseload of
post-resettlement and integration clients requiring a range of
services, including housing assistance, public assistance,
Medicaid, and other supports Provide culturally competent,
trauma-informed, and strengths-based services to a diverse client
population Complete client intakes, assessments, and individualized
service plans for newly referred clients Document all services and
client progress in electronic case management systems Balance
client advocacy with empowerment-focused service delivery Assess
and assist clients referred internally through JERS Legal,
Education, Employment, and other departments Participate in
mandatory walk-in coverage on a rotating basis Assess walk-in
clients for program eligibility and service needs and ensure timely
intake and service provision Conduct screenings and provide support
for social care navigators through the WNYICC program Maintain a
shared appointment calendar Collaboration, Communication &
Community Engagement Engage in regular communication with
supervisors and leadership, including attending meetings and
monitoring email and Microsoft Teams Maintain detailed, accurate,
and timely written case notes and documentation Serve on coalitions
or committees representing the needs of refugees and immigrants, as
assigned Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications : Required
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of one
year of experience providing direct client services in a human
services setting (e.g., case management, social work, employment
counseling) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in
written and verbal English Proficiency with email and Microsoft
Office applications Ability to work respectfully and effectively
with diverse client populations across a variety of settings
Demonstrated ability to respond to complex client needs using
creative, flexible, and solution-focused approaches Strong ability
to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Valid driver’s license and ongoing access to an insured vehicle
Preferred Experience working with refugees, immigrants, asylum
seekers, or other displaced populations Familiarity with
trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive service
delivery Experience conducting client intakes, assessments, and
case documentation Ability to remain calm, organized, and
professional in fast-paced or unpredictable environments
Proficiency in a language other than English commonly spoken by
agency clients Experience using electronic case management
systems
