Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center (OPVMC) is looking for _*Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)*_ or _*License Eligible*_ to join its team. We offer Wellness, Referral and Emergency Services and are seeking dedicated team players to deliver exceptional Client Service and Patient Care. OPVMC sees primarily small animals (dogs and cats) and a limited amount of exotic patients.Some required qualifications include:* Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in NYS.* Eligible for NY LicensureSome of the job responsibilities include:* Assisting doctors in surgery.* Inducing and monitoring anesthesia using various multiparameter equipment.* Client communication includes patient histories, in-patient updates, and diagnostic results.* Performing venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters.* Taking digital radiographs and monitoring patients for CT procedures.* Placement of Nasogastric tubes, central lines, and urinary catheters* Administer canine and feline blood products.* Recover patients post-operatively.* Cross training to include: general and specialty surgery, oncology, internal medicine, neurology and critical care.In order to be successful in this position you must:* Have the ability to multitask in a face-paced environment.* Have high attention to detail.* Great communication with DVMs and other team members.* Eager to expand skill set and mentor LVTs and Veterinary Assistants* Confidence to advocate for patients needs and suggest alternatives.What do we have to offer the right candidates?* License reimbursement.* Incentivizing shift differentials are offered during regular and non-regular working hours.* Uniform allowance.* Significant pet care discount.* 1 on 1 training catered to individual needs.* PTO* Continuing education budget* Sign-On Bonus ($2,500 for full time)We are seeking the right fit not only for the position, but the right fit for our team and our purpose, always the patient's advocate!Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour, plus $2 - $5 shift differentials.
