Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a North American leader in environmental and
industrial services, seeks a committed and reliable CDL Driver with
a Class A certification to join our transportation team. This role
is pivotal in helping us fulfill our mission of ensuring safety and
sustainability while responding to the needs of our clients across
diverse sectors. As a CDL Driver at Clean Harbors, you will operate
heavy-duty trucks and are responsible for the transportation of
hazardous materials, requiring compliance with all safety and
regulatory guidelines. Safely operate heavy-duty Class A trucks
across various routes to ensure the effective delivery and pickup
of hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with all federal, state,
and local regulations as well as company policies concerning the
transport of hazardous materials. Perform pre-trip and post-trip
inspections to ensure the safety and maintenance of the vehicle.
Load and unload materials, review orders and paperwork for
accuracy, and maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service
and repair status, following applicable state and federal
regulations. Coordinate with the logistics team to improve route
planning and efficiency. Respond to client queries and represent
Clean Harbors in a professional manner at all sites and locations.
Proficient in operating heavy-duty trucks and transporting
hazardous materials. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and
safety standards for handling and transporting hazardous materials.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good
communication and reporting skills. Ability to navigate various
electronic log and transport management systems. Medical Insurance
401k Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL). Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and Tanker Endorsement
preferred. Clean driving record and ability to pass a background
check and drug screening.
