Job Description:
Full-time Description We are seeking a Registered Nurse to
support our providers in our Dermatology outpatient clinics!

Holidays As the Registered Nurse you will assess, develop,
implement and evaluate the plan of care using the nursing process.
You will also plan and provide nursing interventions for
individuals with skin conditions including cancer; treats human
responses to actual or potential health problems through such
services as patient care, health teaching, and health counseling;
executes medical regimens prescribed by a physician or other
licensed health care provider authorized by the State of New York;
provide support to providers for office-based procedures. This
position will provide coverage across our Dermatology clinics in
Cheektowaga, Depew, and Lockport, NY. Responsibilities: Follows
orders written by a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician
Assistant Obtain vital signs and/or medical history for patient’s
chart Patient education on discharge/post-procedure/treatment
Triage calls and messages and route to appropriate staff member
Performs nursing assessment that includes the holistic needs of
each patient with consideration of his/her physiological,
psychological, social, ethnic, cultural, educational and spiritual
strengths and needs. Includes the patient and family and/or support
system in the planning and delivery of care Ensures that patient
safety is a priority goal in the delivery of healthcare Provides
direct patient care activities with other professional disciplines
to ensure that the plan of nursing intervention is consistent with
and integrated with the total treatment plan Provides health
education/teaching for patients, their families, and/or designated
significant others regarding dermatologic conditions, treatments
and procedures Confers with nursing staff and other members of the
healthcare team regarding condition of patients and/or any unusual
events or problems to ensure continuity of care Orders and
maintains stock of medical supplies including but not limited to
McKesson, Quest, Allegran accounts Contact patients regarding
pathology results at the discretion of the provider Obtain prior
authorization for procedures and/or medications as indicated Manage
and track incoming and outgoing referrals Assist the front desk
staff with scheduling and verify procedures are scheduled
appropriately Prepare charts ahead of patient’s appointment Prepare
surgical instruments and supplies for procedures using sterile
technique Assist with dermatology procedures using specialized
medical equipment Precise and timely documentation in EMR
Coordinate all biologic treatments and follow up Educates and
trains Medical Assistants as needed Protects patient’s privacy,
confidentiality, and their rights as health care consumers
Demonstrates an understanding of and is compliant with HIPAA
regulations. Can define own level of access for minimum necessary
requirements Complies with and is knowledgeable of Institute and
department policies/procedures and standards of care Acquires
and/or maintains the necessary education and skills required to
address competencies Attends education programs offered which have
relevance to the special needs of assigned patient population, new
products, equipment, policies/procedures, and clinical care
Enhances professional growth and development by participating in
educational programs, reading current literature, and participating
in in-service meetings and workshops Requirements
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of
nursing The equivalent of one (1) year of fulltime dermatology
nursing experience (Preferred) Experience with EMR software
Certifications/Licenses: License to practice as a Registered Nurse
in the State of New York BLS Certification Salary Description
$38.00-$41.00/hour
