Job Description Tallavera is seeking a local contract Outpatient Radiology Technician Level II for a local contract job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 24 weeks - 38 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days, evenings - Employment Type: Local Contract PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Radiologic Technologist (RT) is medical personnel who preform diagnostic imaging for invasive procedures, administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established protocol and regulations. The RT is responsible for patient positioning, obtaining a quality diagnostic image, equipment protocol, safety, radiation protection and basic patient care. The Radiologic Technologist reports to the Clinical Director GENERAL 1. Oversee radiologic services 2. Performs diagnostic imaging 3. Works with Radiation Safety Officer, Consultant Radiologist and Administrator to maintain safe environment during use of c-arm. Including but not limited to assuring personnel use of badge monitoring system, use of shields, lead aprons and collars and annual radiological inspection of lead aprons. Ideal schedule is five 8 hour shifts a week between 6:30 am and 5pm but will consider someone who could only work 4 days a week/n/nEDUCATION/nHigh School/nLicensed by New York State/nMinimally maintains an Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology./nEXPERIENCE/n3-5 Radiological Technologist experience preferred.
