Nuclear Medicine Tech Location: Rochester, NY Agency: AMN Healthcare Allied Pay: $2,810 to $2,895 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Description & Requirements Nuclear Medicine Technologist - (Nuclear Med Tech) StartDate: 3/16/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D/E/N Pay Rate: $2810.00 - $2895.00 NUC MED TECH needed asap Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Ensures proper imaging techniques related to patients age and ability to understand procedure (sight, hearing needs, ability to cooperate) to ensure image quality is successfully obtained. Reviews patient information and interpretation of data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provision of care. Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms. Job Requirements: Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). NYS License BLS (American Heart Association) 2 years’ Experience Preferred Experience: CT certified and has PE/CT experience Required Qualifications Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Experience: 2 years Licenses: NMT-NY Certifications: N(Copy Needed); BLS(Copy Needed); CTTECH(Copy Needed) SSN Required DOB Required References: 1 Reference in entire work history Must have experience with conducting Pet CT scans (CTCertification NMTCB- CT required per NYS) Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT Certification and NYS Rad Tech License Preferred Qualifications Epic experience preferred, but not required.
