Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,758 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: New York license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Description: Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions. Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry. Shift: 4 days of 12 hours each, from 07:00 to 19:00. Every other weekend is required. Floating to other units is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates should be more than 75 miles from the facility. The nurse will need to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg patients. Experience with EPIC charting is a hard requirement. BLS certification is mandatory. The unit has a high volume of patients with conditions such as CHF, acute MI, and arrhythmias. The nurse will also care for general surgery patients undergoing various procedures. Staffing includes a total of 528 beds. Candidates must float as needed. Candidates should have experience managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response/code teams. Knowledge of wound care and isolation precautions/PPE is essential. Additional skills include peripheral line management and oxygen administration. Continuing education modules may be required before the start.
