Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,114 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Rochester, New York, 14626! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry License: New York RN License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid Response Teams - Peripheral line care/management - Non-invasive airway management - Oxygen administration - Isolation precautions Description: The position is for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse. Day and evening patient ratios are 5 to 1, with a stretch of 6-7. Night patient ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1, stretching to 8-10 if staff calls in. Patient Care Technicians are available on all units for vital signs, blood glucose checks, and activities of daily living. An in-house phlebotomy team conducts all peripheral lab draws. Nursing staff are responsible for managing PICC lines and central lines. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, and sepsis. Special equipment used includes BIPAP, CPAP, high flow, ventilators, trach, and chest tubes. Familiarity with computerized charting systems is required, with a preference for specific experience. Staff may need to float between like units. All travelers will be required to float.
