Job Opportunity – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN – New York Start Date: February 24, 2026 Location: Rochester, New York Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts, every other weekend required Highlights: 26-bed critical care step-down unit in a 528-bed tertiary care facility Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on night shifts with continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry monitoring Care for acute adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized monitoring, including BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy Float opportunities to ICU or medical-surgical units Requirements: Active New York RN license in hand prior to submission (no exceptions) Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required Epic charting experience is required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with telemetry, step-down/progressive care, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management Competency in IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, blood product administration, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management Experience with respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and non-invasive airway management Must reside 75 miles from facility location Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted Why It's a Great Opportunity: This IMCU position offers the chance to work in a dynamic critical care step-down environment where you'll care for a diverse patient population with complex medical needs, particularly those requiring pulmonary support.
