An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Care to provide critical support in an Emergency Department setting in Canandaigua, NY. This role emphasizes delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, managing urgent and emergent medical situations with professionalism and expertise. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Current RN license with Emergency Nursing experience Proficiency in emergency assessment, intervention, and patient prioritization Ability to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures confidently Skilled in patient and family communication, including providing clear updates and emotional support Knowledge of triage standards and emergency severity index (ESI) protocols Competence in documenting patient needs, responses, and any concerns such as domestic violence Team collaboration and delegation skills respecting scope of practice Commitment to infection prevention and patient safety standards Experience educating patients and caregivers on post-emergency care and discharge instructions Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and prioritize urgent care needs, delivering appropriate interventions Establish rapport with patients and families to alleviate anxiety and ensure understanding throughout their care Maintain continuous awareness of patient condition during their emergency department stay Prepare and educate patients and families for procedures, treatments, and home care plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster mutual trust and optimize patient outcomes Document assessments, interventions, responses, and any pertinent psychosocial or safety concerns accurately Location Canandaigua, NY:Nestled in the scenic Finger Lakes region, Canandaigua offers a balanced lifestyle with beautiful natural surroundings, recreational opportunities, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
