Job Description HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN Psychiatric for a local contract nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatric - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days, evenings, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Setting Location: Rochester Psychiatric Center (RPC) Schedule: Day Shift – Participation in treatment team and acuity meetings required Start Date: Upon completion of required onboarding and credentialing We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the team at Rochester Psychiatric Center, providing high-quality patient care in a behavioral health setting. Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): - Delivering direct patient care and overseeing care provided by support staff - Administering medications and transcribing provider orders - Thorough documentation of patient care activities, including assessments, admissions, screenings, progress notes, and medication administration - Managing patient assignments and overseeing care plans and nursing Plan of Care (POC) updates - Participating in all treatment team and acuity meetings - Ensuring timely implementation and documentation of nursing interventions - Training and precepting newly hired RNs, and overseeing shadowing by LPNs or Mental Health Therapy Aides (MHTAs) - Conducting documentation audits, addressing deficiencies with staff, and coordinating with nursing supervisors - Completing annual assessments for assigned patients - Preparing probation reports and performance evaluations for LPNs - Providing input on evaluations for RN1s, MHTAs, and SHTAs in collaboration with supervisors - Responding to and managing medical and psychiatric emergencies - Completing all required OMH/RPC training Requirements: - Active New York State RN license and registration - Current CPR certification - At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
