*Job Title: Registered Nurse Step Down Unit (Travel Position)**Location:* Rochester, NY 14621*Schedule:* 12-Hour Night Shifts - 36 Hours/Week - 13-Week Assignment*Pay Range:* $57 $67/hour or $2,052 $2,412/week*Contract Type:* Travel Nurse - Guaranteed Hours: 36/week*Please Note: Candidates must reside 75 or more miles outside of Rochester, NY. Local applicants will not be considered.**Job Description:*We are seeking an experienced and dedicated *Registered Nurse (RN)* to join a dynamic Medical Step Down/Pulmonary unit in Rochester, New York. This is a travel nursing opportunity offering competitive compensation, a supportive environment, and the chance to work with a high-acuity patient population.The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting and is flexible to float to other units as needed. Strong clinical assessment skills and critical care experience are essential for success in this role.*Responsibilities:** Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients requiring step-down level monitoring and interventions* Manage patients requiring invasive monitoring, ventilator support via ETT, new/rescue/continuous NIPPV, transvenous pacing, and new tracheostomies* Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care* Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of clinical practice* Work every other weekend and be available for holiday shifts as scheduled*Requirements:** Active RN license in good standing* Minimum of 12 years of recent Step Down or Critical Care experience* American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications *required** Must live *75+ miles* outside of Rochester, NY (local candidates not accepted)* Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed*Additional Information:** 8 hours of non-billable orientation required* Facility reserves the right to call off up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract* No on-call requirement* Daily OT after 24 hours and weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)Job Types: Travel nursing, ContractPay: $57.00 - $67.00 per hourExpected hours: 36 per weekMedical Specialty:* Critical & Intensive Care* Medical-Surgical* Surgery* TelemetryPhysical Setting:* ER* ICU* JCAHO accredited facility* Long term careApplication Question(s):* What is your preferred email ID?* What is your preferred time for a phone call?* Do you live 75+ miles outside of Rochester, NY?Experience:* Recent Step Down or Critical Care: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* RN License for NY State (Preferred)* BLS Certification (Preferred)* ACLS Certification (Preferred)* NIHSS Certification (Preferred)Shift availability:* Night Shift (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Rochester, NY 14621 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Rochester, NY 14621: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personby Jobble
