Product Quality and Reliability Management including Quality and
Reliability Engineering, the Quality Management System, Inspection,
and Supplier Quality. Primary responsibility is to ensure products
adhere to specification through testing, sampling and design
analysis. Leading root cause investigation when customer complaints
arise is a critical component of the position, as is interfacing
with customers and instilling confidence in RPO's ability to
deliver reliable product with high quality. Developing and leading
a team of passionate Quality and Reliability professionals on the
mission to improve product and process excellence is a key measure
of success. Technical understanding of mechanics, optics, and
assembly processes desired. Summary of Essential Job Duties:
- Ability to build and lead a world class quality
organization
- Effectively manage the ECO and document control process
- Lead the company wide calibration of tools, test equipment,
etc
- Demonstrate problem solving through a statistical approach
- Implement SPC as needed
- Implement and maintain a Quality Management system which meets
ISO 9001 and other standards as required
- Design and implement product quality control tools that ensure
compliance to all specifications
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments and mitigations are
completed with respect to product and process quality, design and
production
- Lead product quality troubleshooting events as they arise
- Drive to root cause understanding and corrective action to
mitigate product quality failures
- Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements
throughout RPO
- Lead the Quality and Reliability Group as a critical function
to business success
- Maintaining the proper functioning of Receiving Inspection,
In-process Inspection, and Final Inspection
- Develop adequate qualification test plans ensuring quality and
reliability for new product development
- Ensuring the quality of incoming and outgoing product
- Ensure Supplier Qualification and performance is maintained for
externally sourced materials and components
- Function as an integral member of the leadership team, driving
the organization toward the goals of the business
- Aid in the continual improvement of all aspects of RPO's
business activities
- Interface successfully with Production, Design Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales, customers and
suppliers and other third parties
- Guide Quality and Reliability Engineers in the development of
experiments during investigations Requirements:

Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering,
Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or related
discipline
- 10+ years of experience in product quality and reliability in a
manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality Management or supervisory
roleAdditional Requirements:

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close

inspection (eye strain)
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger
dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- The employee is frequently required to use the computer. Work
Environment:
- May involve the use of oils and solvents.
- Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions.

- Generally works in a clean environment and works to maintain
the environment as such.
- Safety Glasses are required
- May require area specific safety training
- This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise
level in the work environment is usually loud.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
and fumes or airborne paper particles.
- May work at different workstations as production needs require,
or shifts from one station to another, during the production
