About the Role This Apprentice position is a developmental opportunity designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in this role or our industry. The role provides hands-on training and mentorship to build foundational skills, with the goal of preparing the apprentice for certification and long-term success in the field. What You’ll Be Doing Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy diesel equipment and mobile machinery Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues under the guidance of experienced mechanics Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety Safely utilize tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop systems in compliance with company procedures Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to a safe, organized work area What Are We Looking For Demonstrated interest in heavy diesel mechanics, equipment maintenance, or a related skilled trade Ability to learn technical concepts and apply problem?solving skills in a hands?on environment Strong attention to safety, quality, and following established procedures Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others Capability to perform physical work, including lifting and working around heavy equipment Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post?offer pre?employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check Successful candidate must submit to post?offer pre?employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
