Job Description Job Description Description: Custom Engineering is currently seeking 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills and bridge mills. Up to $28 per hour BOE ($2.00 2nd shift differential). - Create a set up and remove workpieces from a machine per procedure - Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances - Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required - Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes - Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures - Proficient knowledge in general machining practices - Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances About Us Custom Engineering is a heavy fabrication, welding, and machine shop conveniently located less than a mile off the Bayfront Parkway on McClelland Ave. Our ability to complete complex jobs both long-run and short-run, top-of-the-line machinery, and outstanding quality allow us to serve many industries including oil & gas, construction, mining, transportation, power generation, and entertainment. Experience in CNC operation/schooling Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints and basic GD&T Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds and feeds Proficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-code commands Ability to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a program Crane experience Forklift experience Must be authorized to work in the US Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage PI32a99c71cf9a-25405-33546523
