SUMMARY The Hand Deburr Technician is responsible for manually
removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from
CNC-machined parts to meet blueprint, quality, and customer
requirements. This position plays a critical role in supporting
aerospace manufacturing operations by ensuring parts are safe,
functional, and compliant with specifications, while maintaining
consistent quality and attention to detail. Hand Deburr & Finishing
Responsibilities Perform hand deburring on CNC-machined parts using
files, stones, abrasive pads, countersinks, and other approved hand
tools. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and surface
imperfections per blueprint notes, work instructions, and customer
requirements. Apply specified edge breaks, chamfers, and radii
without altering part dimensions or tolerances. Visually inspect
parts to ensure cosmetic and functional requirements are met.
Handle parts carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or other
damage. Follow routers, work instructions, and packaging
requirements exactly as specified. Communicate quality concerns,
unclear requirements, or part defects to supervisors or Quality
personnel. Maintain consistent workmanship across high-mix,
low-volume aerospace parts. General Responsibilities Maintain a
clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in continuous
improvement and workplace organization initiatives. Identify and
report potential quality or safety concerns. Maintain deburring
tools and supplies in good working condition. Support production
flow by completing work accurately and on time. Adhere to all
company safety policies and PPE requirements. Required
Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience with hand
deburring or manual finishing
