Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. An educational opportunity is available for a skilled
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to support elementary students in
a K-12 public school setting. This position focuses on delivering
specialized instruction and services to students with hearing
impairments from Pre-K through 6th grade, providing essential
support to enhance their academic and social development. Location:
Irving, TX Contract Type: Short-term contract for the current
school year Schedule: Full-time or part-time (21-35 hours per
week), minimum of 3 days up to 5 days per week, with 7-hour school
days Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of Pre-K to 6th-grade
students with hearing impairments Conduct evaluations and complete
detailed reports based on student needs Attend Admission, Review,
and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and participate actively in team
planning Read and interpret audiograms to inform instructional
strategies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and
implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct
instructional support and resources to students and staff
Qualifications: Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License
(TEA) required Previous school-based experience in Texas preferred
Strong knowledge of deaf education strategies and audiological
assessment Ability to work effectively with children ages Pre-K
through 6th grade Excellent communication and collaboration skills
